Places of Note

The main plot of the campaign revolved around the encounters taking place in the Secession State of Free Quebec. As post-apocalypse Rifts is a vast world full of wonder, horrors, and ley line, the scope of this campaign lies on this former Coalition State. A map was created to give the players a visual aspect of where their characters are traveling to and from. Individual towns and village were not mapped out, and general information was given to flesh out the campaign. Altercations would happen in towns and villages, as well as out in the wilds of eastern Canada. The characters had easy access to the major points on the map when using flying military units, which did not hamper the party with movement penalties (unless a stealthy approach was chosen). All of the party members have lived in Quebec or the Coalition States most of their lives, and are familiar with sites like Free Quebec city and Old Bones. Each character can choose their background, from whence they came, and how road intersected at Ft. Valjean.

The Secession State of Free Quebec

Bonaventure

Bonaventure is a small town in southeastern Quebec on the Gaspé Peninsula, independent and unregistered by the Free Quebec government. The PCs encounter this town when chasing down Coalition armored units distracts them from their trip to Murdochville. Investigation of the town leads parts of Blue Fox squad farther east to Forillon.

Cosette

Cosette is an outpost, smallest of the Free Quebec military bases and is designed to function as a mini-base used to monitor or protect an area, with a compliment of less than one hundred total troops. This facility is commanded by Captain Phillip Henshall.

Dumar

Dumar is a small town in western Quebec between the boreal forest and tundra. Blue Fox squad tracks down the Gagnon brothers during their attempt to incite Free Quebec citizens and sell Angrar power armor to the locals.

Eponine

Eponine is an outpost, smallest of the Free Quebec military bases and is designed to function as a mini-base used to monitor or protect an area, with a compliment of less than one hundred total troops. This facility is commanded by Captain Norman Kuhn.

Fantine

Fantine is an outpost, smallest of the Free Quebec military bases and is designed to function as a mini-base used to monitor or protect an area, with a compliment of less than one hundred total troops. This facility is commanded by Captain Michael Barks.

Forillon

Forillon is a small town in southeastern Quebec on the Gaspé Peninsula, independent and unregistered by the Free Quebec government. The PCs encounter this town when following members of Nouveau-Quebec to a staging ground outside of the central township. Without their SAMAS units, Blue Fox is powerless as Captain George Barachois arrived over the center of the town with a refurbished Coalition Death's Head Transport and ordered the citizens to surrender.

Ft. Valjean

Fort Valjean is the main base for the player characters and home of 7th Battalion Army Recce (640 troops), consisting of Bravo, Charger, Echo, & Zulu companies. To support the battalion, the Quebec Military has assigned Yankee Company, 3rd Battalion SAMAS Air Force. The main goal is to provide stability in the area, and to dissuade any Coalition Forces from attempted to capture Free Quebec from the north. The fort also supports three smaller outposts: Cosette, Eponine, and Fantine. This facility is commanded by Colonel John Decker.

Gaspé Peninsula

The Gaspésie, or Gaspé Peninsula, is a peninsula along the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River to the east of the Matapedia Valley in Quebec, Canada, that extends into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Blue Fox squad was sent there to investigate Nouveau-Quebec  and their attempt to create their own government, by capturing Quebec citizens.

Malinbois

Malinbois is a small town in western Quebec between the boreal forest and tundra. Blue Fox squad was called to this area to investigate illegal power armor sales and random Coalition Forces seen in the area, both turning out to be trouble-making by Johnny Redcap.
