Items Some Consider To Be Unnatural
Blazefury
Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement)
The weapon is a +3 vorpal longsword. The sword has runes on both sides of the blade, with an aquamarine gemstone set into the pommel. The hilt is made of horn, wrapped in black leather.
When attuned, the weapon has the properties of a wand of magic detection. The sword has 3 charges. While holding it, the wielder can expend 1 charge as an action to cast the detect magic spell from it. The sword regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn.
Once per week, the sword removes any exhaustion the wielder is suffering, and cures any disease or poison affecting the wielder.
When the wielder is struck by a critical strike, the blade becomes wreathed in blue-white flames and the wielder’s next turn with the weapon on that specific enemy is made at advantage; multiple critical attacks count for advantage attacks. In the case of multiple enemies, the effect only applies to opponents who have critically struck the wielder. The effect ends if the enemy dies or after 1 minute, whichever comes first.
High Talon
Weapon (longbow), legendary (requires attunement)
The weapon is a sentient neutral +3 longbow (Intelligence 14, Wisdom 17, Charisma 16). It can speak, read, and understand Common, Draconic, and Elvish. In additional it can communicate telepathically with any character that carries or wields it. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet. The longbow’s special purpose is The Glory Seeker: it seeks renown as the greatest magic item in the world, by establishing its user as a famous or notorious figure. The longbow has the following additional properties:
High Talon has the properties of an Oathbow.
When you nock an arrow on this bow, it whispers in Elvish, "Swift defeat to my enemies." When you use this weapon to make a ranged attack, you can, as a command phrase, say, "Swift death to you who have wronged me." The target of your attack becomes your sworn enemy until it dies or until dawn seven days later. You can have only one such sworn enemy at a time. When your sworn enemy dies, you can choose a new one after the next round.
When you make a ranged attack roll with this weapon against your sworn enemy, you have advantage on the roll. In addition, your target gains no benefit from cover, other than total cover, and you suffer no disadvantage due to long range. If the attack hits, your sworn enemy takes an extra 3d6 piercing damage.
While your sworn enemy lives, you have disadvantage on attack rolls with all other weapons.
High Talon’s longbow range increment is 200/800.
An extra 10 feet of speed is granted while the bearer is unencumbered.
Being within 5 feet of a hostile creature doesn't impose disadvantage on your ranged attack rolls.
High Talon can cast hunter’s mark as a 3rd level spell slot on the wielder once per day. It decides when to cast the spell and maintains concentration on it so that the user does not need to.
The main part of the bow is carved from the claw of an ancient red dragon. Hence, it grows slightly warm when within 120 feet of a dragon.
Whenever High Talon is used, its bearer hears a fragment of an ancient elven song (Song Craft).
Brazier of Elan - A successful DC 15 Intelligence (Arcana) check identifies the brazier as the source of the magic that suffuses the surrounding areas. This magic is powerful enough to be harnessed to permanently enchant magic items. Any nonmagical weapon or armor bathed in the glowing energy for at least 1 minute becomes a permanent +1 weapon or +1 armor. The brazier cannot be removed from the Monkton Farms.
Due Diligence - Weapon (longsword), rare (no attunement required) The weapon is a +1 silvered longsword. It has sapphires in its pommel and hilt. The hilt is made of bone. The sword grows warm, and the sapphires glow slightly when the sword is within 120 feet of an elemental. The bearer of this weapons has Proficiency with Constitution saving throws.
Hailstorm, the arbalest of doom - Weapon (heavy crossbow), legendary (no attunement required) The weapon is a repeating heavy crossbow. It is made of polished walnut, with a high-quality woven silk bowstring providing no benefits for stealth rolls. It has mother of pearl on its grips and stock. It requires two hands to load or to attack with this weapon. The user gains proficiency with this specific crossbow, even if they are not proficient in martial weapons. The user also ignores the loading quality with this crossbow. The repeating magazine connects to an extradimensional space that allows it to hold up to thirty bolts. When it is holding bolts, the user can reload it by pulling the reloading lever, which is part of your attack. Loading a new compliment of 5 bolts requires an Action that provokes attacks of opportunity.
Hobblecry - Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement by a follower of Erythnul) The weapon is a sentient chaotic evil +2 longsword (Intelligence 11, Wisdom 13, Charisma 13). It has hearing and normal vision out to a range of 120 feet. It communicates by transmitting emotion to the creature carrying or wielding it. The sword’s special purpose is The Templar: it seeks to defend the servants and interests of Erythnul. A chaotic evil creature can attune itself to the sword in 1 minute (Harmonious). While attuned to the weapon, the sword’s wielder can use the sword to cast the darkness spell; the wield has perfect sight. Once used, this property of the sword can’t be used again until the next dawn.
Loincloth of Depravity - Wondrous item, artifact (requires attunement) This loincloth was unintentionally created by Egg-gar Koribayed. Believing the loincloth to be nothing more than a scrap piece of leather, the waistcloth was formerly a leathery wing piece of a balor, defeated by a group of greedy adventurers. This clothing has seen some adventure, with Egg-gar subjecting the garment to a variety of personal and magical stresses, visiting exotic locations charged with dimensional energy, and dipping it into the blood of mystic creatures and numinous waters. So strong was the connection between the loincloth and its owner, eventually the extradimensional cloth became conscious, bequeathing the owner with several magical properties. The loincloth is a sentient chaotic neutral evil entity (Intelligence 5, Wisdom 7, Charisma 6). It can communicate by transmitting emotion to the creature wearing it, with hearing and normal vision out to 30 feet.
Wraiththorn - Weapon (longsword), very rare (no attunement required) This weapon is a +2 longsword. The hilt and pommel are made of solid brass, with a sunburst etched into the metal. Upon command, the sword glows as bright as a torch. While glowing, the sword deals an extra 1d6 radiant damage to undead creatures.
