Places of Note

The main plot of the campaign revolved around the encounters taking place on Argo Cruise Lines The Azure Queen, Houston, TX, the area on the coast of northern California, and northern Mexico. Although other cities, states, and countries might be mentioned, there were beyond the scope of the campaign, and considered non-essential to moving the plot along. A map was created to give the players a visual aspect of where their characters are traveling to and from. Individual towns and cities were not mapped out, and general information was given to flesh out the campaign. Most populations centers have been ravaged by the sudden advent of the human bodies re-animating after being deceased over a short period of time. Altercations would happen in cities and towns, as well as out in the rural of northern California. All of the party members were new to the area and would seek out those NPCs in each locale that best suited their character’s goal of survival. Human civilization has collapsed, and cities and towns are infested with zombies, madmen and cultists. The dead reign over most cities and towns of any size.

Western North America

Houston, Texas USA

Houston is the most populous city in Texas, fourth most populous city in the United States, and sixth most populous in North America. The campaign starts out with a majority of the PCs working in and around Ellington Field Joint Reserve Military Base and the local headquarters of EAU Systems. Stopping a daylight robbery at the Bank of the Northern Hemisphere led  to the PCs being rewarded with a west coast trip on Argo Cruise Lines.

Los Angeles, California USA

Los Angeles is the most populous city in California, the second most populous city in the United States, and the third most populous city in North America. After spending the night at Crowne Plaza hotel, the PCs shipped out on their Alaskan cruise through Argo Cruise Lines, which operated from the The Port of Los Angeles World Cruise Center in San Pedro, approximately 20 miles south of downtown L.A. Klinger left his Toyota pickup, stocked with extra weapons he could not get on board the Azure Queen, in the parking lot of the cruise terminal.

Pacific Grove, California USA

Pacific Grove is a coastal city 115 miles south of San Francisco, with a population 15,000. After abandoning the Azure Queen, the PCs took shelter at the Point Pinos Lighthouse, the oldest continuously operating lighthouse on the West Coast. Scavenging the town for supplies and transportation, the party was able to head south, along with Lindsey Phair and Peanut Butter, using several confiscated boats from the U.S. Coast Guard pier.

San Francisco, California USA

San Francisco is the fourth most populous in city in California, and the 16th most populous city in the United States. As word of the Coronavirus spread, this is the final port of call for the Azure Queen, before she is turned away from docking in Seattle. When attempting to return, the ship was in sight of the city when the zombie apocalypse began.

San Vicente, Baja Mexico

San Vicente is a small farming and ranching community of 4,000 gaining water from the Rio San Isidro. Heading south down the coast, the party's boat ran out of gas after traveling inland, with the PCs taking shelter at the Taller Mecanico automotive repair shop near Hwy 1.
