The main function of this campaign is a plot-driven story line with characters acting as the heroes of the city.

The Crusaders
Meta-human super-team
The Crusaders are the premiere meta-human superhero team for the greater Houston area, although most citizens would agree the group works throughout the Texas Triangle (Houston-Dallas-San Antonio). By most accounts, the group achieved official team status in a Houston Chronicle article when the duo of Warlock and Magnolia began working with longstanding hero The Shadow. The arrival of White Lightning gave the group much more of a presence, and the party began to function in a professional framework with local law enforcement; some members were deputized. Additional members joined as Megajoule and Ursus were recruited by White Lightning, having worked with the two heroes in the past. Lobo’s connection with Warlock came about when the latter dealt with a magical threat in Central Texas, and with the need of durability in membership, Lobo moved from Austin and joined the team. The Seeker is the most enigmatic member of the team, arriving on Earth under mysterious circumstances, and although he has been a crucial member of the Crusaders, his relationship has not been as forthcoming as with other teammates and it appears some members wish to keep him as a member to track on him as he does on others. Although the team has never announced their home base, the core team and various anonymous sponsors were able to outfit the group with an unknown section of the Houston Tunnel System, where the team meets to chart out their plans and projects to keep Houston safer.
