Important NPCs of Earth-CC

There are several NPCs who are important to the Earth-CC reality.  Although there are many established MCU characters, the scope of this campaign is to reference them, not interact with them. Each has a unique relationship with the PCs; some are allies, some are antagonists. Each NPC has a clear motivation which impacts motivations in the campaign. While all NPCs allow for the flavor of any campaign, only the NPCs listed below have had a clear impact upon the characters.

Absynthe

A.I./computer virus

capable of infiltrating even Stark tech and manifesting as human female, she is reformed and now works for Cogent.

Acumen Elite

Enhanced mercenary team

led by Marvin Flumm and Paul Ebersol, the PCs defeat them during a kidnap of a bilgesnipe from the Houston Zoo.

Bilgesnipe

Alien species

indigenous to Asgard or one of the other Nine Realms, Asgardians describe the creatures as being repulsive and destructive.

Shando Blades

Human male altered human

AKA Black Tiger, granted superhuman martial arts skills and physical abilities via mystical amulets, he works for John Black.

Emil Blonsky

Human male altered human

On Earth-616, AKA The Abomination with the Super Soldier Serum and gamma-irradiated blood, he was muscle for Dr. Samuel Sterns.

BroForce

Enhanced super team

led by the Brofessor, made up of Altered Humans with superhuman strength, stamina and durability, but mentally weak.

Cogent

Enhanced human and high technology independent organization

formed during the Cold War and now stepping forward to take S.H.I.E.L.D.'s absence.

Miley Cyrus

Human female normal

No, not that Miley Cyrus, but as the main assistant to Captain Luck, she uses the Internet to create awareness about her brand.

Carlos Danger

Human male normal

longtime assistant to John Black at WHIH and sometimes financial supporter of foreign rebel uprising (a hobby).

Paul Norbert Ebersol

Human male high technology

On Earth-616, AKA The Fixer, he is a founding member of Acumen Elite, with co-leader with Marvin Flumm. His plan to kidnap a bilgesnipe from the Houston Zoo is foiled is foiled by the PCs. 

Marvin Flumm

Human male altered human

On Earth-616 AKA Mentallo, he is a founding member of Acumen Elite, with co-leader with Norbert Ebersol. His plan to kidnap a bilgesnipe from the Houston Zoo is foiled is foiled by the PCs. 

Mac Gargan

Human male altered human

On Earth-616, AKA Scorpion, he is a member of Acumen Elite, with enhanced strength and cybernetic tail. With his augmentation, he is the main muscle for his team.

Agent Maria Hill

Human female normal

former Deputy Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., she is the final connection to Julian Armand, before he leaves and joins Cogent.

Bruno Horgan

Human male high technology

On Earth-616, AKA The Melter, a bankrupt industrialist with a belt-mounted energy weapon whose criminal activities come to a quick end.

Abner Jenkins

Human male high technology

On Earth-616, AKA The Beetle, he left a mechanics career to pursue a life of seeking wealth, using his refurbished Stark tech battlesuit.

Erik Josten

Human male altered human

On Earth-616, AKA Goliath, blaming the Avengers for his business loss after the Chitauri attack in NYC, Elihas Starr grants him growth powers.

Dr. Ivan Kragoff

Human male altered human

On Earth-616, AKA Red Ghost, former Soviet scientist who exposed himself and three trained primates to cosmic radiation, granting them power.

Dr. Joseph Ledger

Human male altered human

On Earth-616, AKA Dr. Spectrum, consulting member of Cogent, he saved a crashed Sk'ym'x and was rewarded the Power Prism.

Chen Lu

Human male altered human

On Earth-616, AKA Radioactive Man, member of Acumen Elite, former nuclear physicist in China, he looks to increase his radiation control powers.

Nova Corps

Alien law enforcement organization

intergalactic military and police force of the Nova Empire, destroyed by Thanos, with some survivors arriving on Earth.

Arthur Parks

Human male altered human

On Earth-616, AKA Living Laser, once gifted research scientist with implanted laser diodes into his skin, he seeks to take over Costa Verde.

Clay Quartermain

Human male normal

current member of S.H.I.E.L.D., he was assigned to protect young Julian Armand during field operations.

Ragnarök

Robot

AKA Thor, made from Thor's DNA and Destroyer remains, a S.H.I.E.L.D. fail-safe in case of Thor's death, but was prematurely activated. 

Antonio Rodriguez

Human male altered human

On Earth-616, AKA Armadillo, old friend of Timothy MacGregor, his delayed changed from Terragenesis led to his subduing near the Houston Zoo.

Roxxon Energy

International Company

one of the world's largest conglomerates, their shady dealings include slave trading and creating enhanced humans.

S.H.I.E.L.D.

High Technology Group

international peacekeeping, law enforcement, and counter-terrorism agency sanctioned by the United Nations.

Dr. Basil Sandhurst

Human male high technology

On Earth-616, AKA the Controller, using mental control disks to dominate others, his exoskeleton is enhanced by cerebral energies.

Dr. Karl F. G. Siegfried

Asgardian male alien

as an Asgardian who escaped to Earth centuries ago, he had kept out of history until Ragnarök searched him out for assistance.

Dr. Karla Sofen

Human male altered human

On Earth-616, AKA Moonstone, a former psychologist who bonded with a gravity stone designed by the Kree, she works for Dr. Starr.

Dr. Elihas Starr

Human male normal

On Earth-616, AKA Egghead, he assembled a group of questionable operatives to help protect his interests from the Avengers and Cogent.

Dr. Samuel Sterns

Human male altered human

On Earth-616, AKA the Leader, a cellular biologist looking for a cure for Bruce Banner, but mutated when exposed to gamma-radiated blood.

Tony Stark 2.0

Robot

the result of a contingency plan equipped into the Iron Man armor if its user was killed in action, it gains Stark's personality with its sentience.

Agent Wendell Vaughn

Human male normal

current member of S.H.I.E.L.D., assigned to protect young Julian Armand during field operations, he has curious pictures.

Anthony Vento

Skrull male alien

On Earth-616, AKA Sk'ym'x, after his rescue by Dr. Joseph Ledger from his crash on Earth, this Skrull has decided to ally himself to Cogent.

Ulysses Bloodstone

a monster hunter and wealthy mercenary, he tours his captured bilgesnipe at the Houston Zoo during an enhanced human attack.

Dr. Thomas Brody

A Ph.D. in gamma radiation, he associated of Dr. Sterns and Dr. Sandhurst, looking to gain from their illegal quests for power.

Douglas Carmody

An aggressive stalker of Miley Cyrus, the PCs find evidence he entered her home using enhanced means, but he was never encountered.

Chitauri

a sentient species of cybernetically enhanced beings operating under a hive mind intelligence, working for Thanos.

Drew Daniels

On Earth-616, AKA Texas Twister, but as a member of Cogent, his psychokinetic power to accelerate air around his body provides help for the PCs when running into trouble.

Dennis Dunphy

AKA Dembrolition, member of BroForce, with enhanced strength, he battled Cogent under Dr. Sandhurst's control.

Elvin Daryl Holiday

AKA Brage, member of BroForce, with enhanced strength and stamina, he battled Cogent under Dr. Sandhurst's control.

Lemar Hoskins

AKA Battlebro, member of BroForce, with enhanced strength and stamina, he battled Cogent under Dr. Sandhurst's control.

Michael O'Brien

AKA Iron Monger, working with Dr. Sterns, he pilots an upgraded power armor created by Obadiah Stane.

Anthony Power

AKA the Brofessor, former educator and leader of BroForce, bound to a exoskeleton, he hopes to do good with limited time.

Ultron

A.I. Peacekeeping Program created from the decrypted code derived from the Mind Stone, it later attacks the Avengers and Sokovia.

John Walker

AKA Brotriot, member of BroForce, with enhanced strength and stamina, he battled Cogent under Dr. Sandhurst's control.
